Led by Mr. Douglas Crets, Director of Connected Learning and Mr. Ben Chasnov, Engineer-in-Residence, Chinese International School (CIS), about 20 students of the school visited ASTRI on 15 November 2016. They were warmly greeted by Mr. Wong Ming-yam, Chairman, Prof. Ching Pak-chung, Board Director, Mr. Andy Liu, Board Director and Dr. Frank Tong, CEO of ASTRI.
A number of demonstrations and facilities including Facial Recognition, Behavioral Biometrics Authentication, Artificial Intelligence on Chinese Characters Recognition, Blockchain and Naked-eye 3D technology were showcased to give the students an in-depth understanding of ASTRI’s R&D projects. After the tour, the students gave impressive presentations on the technology projects that they are working on, such as volunteer recruitment platform for NGOs, urban self-sustainable aquaculture, etc.
