ASTRI is one of the strategic partners of the “APAC Innovation Summit 2016 Series – Smart City” held on 22 -23 September 2016 at Hong Kong Science Park. On day 1 of the summit, ASTRI took part in the mini exhibition at the venue and showcased its self-developed project of Indoor & outdoor Geographic Information System.
This system is an integrated seamless indoor and outdoor navigation system. It can cover both outdoor areas such as pedestrian’s pathways, alleys, bridges, as well as some indoor premises such as shopping malls. The system will also provide other services such as enquiry on nearby information and broadcast real time special notice. Underlying the system, ASTRI has developed a scalable cloud platform involving various kind of technologies such Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The system will be piloted in the Kowloon East.
