This project aims to conduct feasibility study of data packet handling mechanisms in 5G core data plane to support deterministic network, including: - research on IEEE Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) related standards and deterministic network requirements - TSN feasibility study for 5G core data plane - evaluate packet handling mechanism in 5G core data plane for TSN over 5G. This project will support to Hong Kong local industry’s digital transformation, realize commercialization through eco-system partners in Great Bay Area and mainland China, and maintain tech leadership for extended impact for ASTRI's 5G core. Benefits can be achieved for Industry 4.0 and Smart City use cases by enabling TSN and 5G to work together.
