Appointment of New Directors to ASTRI Board

[Hong Kong, 21 October 2022] The Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) today announced the appointment of two new Directors and re-appointment of eight Directors to the ASTRI Board for the period from 21 October 2022 to 20 October 2024.

The new appointees are:

  • Mr Felix Chow Bok-hin
    Executive Chairman, Niche-Tech Semiconductor Materials Limited
  • Mr William Ho Tat
    HKBN Group Co-Owner & Chief Executive Officer – Enterprise Solutions

The other re-appointees are:

  • Mr Charles Chow Sai-keung
  • Mr Steve Chuang Tzu-hsiung
  • Mr Edmund Lee Chi-wai
  • Mr Theodore Ma Heng
  • Dr Alfred Ng Man-cheuk
  • Ir Dr Samson Tai Kin-hon
  • Mr Anthony Tong Tat-hay
  • Ms Ada Wong Yin-man

Chairman of ASTRI’s Board of Directors Ir Sunny Lee Wai-kwong said, “I hereby extend my warmest welcome to Mr Chow and Mr Ho, two newly appointed members to the Board of Directors of ASTRI. We hope they will contribute their extensive experience in industry, with our joint efforts to drive ASTRI leap forward to optimizing the ecosystem of innovation and technology in Hong Kong.”

On behalf of the Board, Ir Lee also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the two retiring Directors, namely Prof Lam Tak-wah and Prof Sabrina Lin Man-yee whose term of office has expired after 20 October 2022, for their support for and contributions to ASTRI in the past.
