Description:

The global semiconductor is projected to exceed US$1 trillion by 2030. And EDA tools are indispensable in the modern semiconductor industry. However, analog integrated circuit(IC) layout design is still a manual, time-consuming and error-prone task. This project is going to develop proprietary electronic design automation(EDA) tools that can automatically generate typical analog layout from schematic/netlist utilizing deep learning technology. The project's objectives include 1) to develop intelligent and high speed analog placement and routing algorithms; 2) to develop an innovative interactive automatic analog layout design tool; 3) to collaborate with EDA vendors to implement ASTRI's tool into commercial EDA softwares. Through cooperation with EDA clients, developed technology as well as its commercialization can help their tool become the first automated analog layout tool in the Greater China region, while also enabling ASTRI to become an important part of the EDA ecosystem.
