Description:

Recent advancements in large language models have brought significant progress to speech recognition, moving beyond word-level understanding to comprehensive sentence-level comprehension. This has revolutionized natural language processing in the field. However, existing intelligent speech recognition (ISR) solutions are primarily cloud-based, which suffer from drawbacks such as privacy concerns, slow response times, and reliance on network connectivity. Therefore, there is a preference for on-device speech recognition processing. The objective of this project is to develop an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) based hardware platform that enables on-device deployment of ISR with natural language understand capability. The developed solution ensures immediate responses, seamless interactions, and most importantly, the privacy of users' sensitive voice data. This instills users with confidence in the security and unlocks the full potential of ISR. By pushing the boundaries of on-device ISR, this project sets the stage for transformative advancements in speech technology, empowering users with intelligent voice-driven solutions such as personalized voice assistants, voice-controlled smart devices, and context-aware voice interactions.
