Generative AI, or generative artificial intelligence, refers to a branch of artificial intelligence that focuses on generating new, original content rather than solely analyzing and processing existing data. It involves training models to create new data samples that resemble a given input dataset. In generative AI, the goal is to develop models that can understand and learn patterns, structures, and relationships in data and then generate new data that follow similar patterns. These models can produce outputs such as images, music, text, and even entire virtual environments. Generative AI has various applications, including art, entertainment, content creation, and education. It has been used to generate realistic images, create music compositions, develop virtual characters, and even simulate real-world scenarios. Generative AI in education can automate grading, issuing notices, composing referral letters, generating teaching plans, streamlining administrative tasks and optimizing the instructional process. In this project, the project team would like to focus on Chinese writing review technology to address the following pain points: 1. Time-consuming grading: Teachers often take a long time to grade Chinese essays. This can limit the frequency with which students receive feedback and slow down their learning progress. 2. Potential bias in grading: Different teachers may have varying criteria and standards when grading Chinese essays, which can result in inconsistent evaluation and potentially subjective grading. 3. Lack of guidance and examples: Students may struggle to improve their writing skills without clear examples or teacher comments. Chinese essays require a strong understanding of the language's intricate grammar rules, idiomatic expressions, and writing conventions. Without proper guidance, students may struggle to identify their weaknesses and make the necessary improvements.
