Digital TV (DTV) is claimed to be the most important technology paradigm shift in the first two decades of the 21st century. Digital TV content can be delivered to end-users via cable, terrestrial or satellite technologies. Domestic DTV sets, DTV receivers for personal computers, DTV function enabled cellphones, PMP and digital set-top boxes are key consumer electronic products for end-users.

ASTRI’s multi-mode RF tuner chip at VHF and UHF supports China CMMB, Korea T-DMB and Europe DVB-T/H standards. It mainly targets at mobile digital TV applications. The tuner uses advanced direct conversion architecture and is implemented in 0.13µm CMOS technology. Small chip size, low power consumption and high sensitivity are important features of this multi-mode tuner.
