由於人口的老化,患有慢性疾病而需要家庭护理和长期护理服务的人大量增加。在香港,到2025年,超过 20%的人口是65岁以上,其中超过 70%患有慢性疾病,如高血压。因此,香港每年的医疗费用不断增加,已占香港生产总值约 10%。更糟的是,服务提供者及护士的短缺问题一直存在。因此,医疗服务正在从医院延伸至家庭,而传统的护理程序亦正在被评估。通过结合信息与通信技术(ICT)和轻量可穿戴式的测量设备,患者可以在早期阶段出院并在家中或护理中心中进行远程监测。心血管疾病是市民最关心的疾病,而连续测量血压,尤其是在睡眠时的测量,是找出潜在中风风险至关重要的方法。 市场上无袖式的血压设备,因需要医务人员的协助及经常校正,而影响设备的普遍使用。在这个项目中,我们的目标是开发一种可穿戴式的心血管监测设备,让用户可以很容易地连续测量心率,脉搏血氧饱和度,动脉僵硬度指数及无袖式血压。测量结果可以轻松地通过香港现有的远程保健系统或移动设备上传至中央数据库。
