    由於人口的老化,患有慢性疾病而需要家庭護理和長期護理服務的人大量增加。在香港,到2025年,超過 20%的人口是65歲以上,其中超過 70%患有慢性疾病,如高血壓。因此,香港每年的醫療費用不斷增加,已佔香港生產總值約 10%。更糟的是,服務提供者及護士的短缺問題一直存在。因此,醫療服務正在從醫院延伸至家庭,而傳統的護理程序亦正在被評估。通過結合信息與通信技術(ICT)和輕量可穿戴式的測量設備,患者可以在早期階段出院並在家中或護理中心中進行遠程監測。心血管疾病是市民最關心的疾病,而連續測量血壓,尤其是在睡眠時的測量,是找出潛在中風風險至關重要的方法。 市場上無袖式的血壓設備,因需要醫務人員的協助及經常校正,而影響設備的普遍使用。在這個項目中,我們的目標是開發一種可穿戴式的心血管監測設備,讓用戶可以很容易地連續測量心率,脈搏血氧飽和度,動脈僵硬度指數及無袖式血壓。測量結果可以輕鬆地通過香港現有的遠程保健系統或移動設備上傳至中央數據庫。
