中國自主的音視頻編碼及解碼標準在中國電子業界和團體的廣泛支持和推動下在2002年6月成立AVS產業聯盟，並得到中國信產部全力支持。AVS產業聯盟負責推動AVS音視頻標準的制定和多媒體產業鏈相關產品之推廣。AVS用於數碼電視的發展迅速，它為推動實現2008年奧運會高清數碼電視廣播邁出一大步，漫長的數碼化電視制式進程中創造巨大商機，產品如數碼電視轉換器，流動數碼電視，機頂盒等等可享受未來多年的高速市場發展和增長。ASTRI ECE Group將盡力為發展AVS音視頻解碼標準 (FPGA IP)解决方案作出供獻，尤其在可能為最終標準X-Profile而出力参與發展。這項目將提供一完整AVS解决方案，它包括先進科技研究，運算和架構設計, 軟件模擬器(C Model, Golden Model and Performance Model)，硬件FPGA RTL code，測試標準用的測試軟件，運作系统，推動軟件和開發平台。再加上ECE Group其它KTI所發展的應用系統的配合而達至全面解决方案。
