本项目的目的是ASTRI 联合香港本地的四家大学（城大，中大，理工大，科大）研发应用於下一代多媒体标準的新型编码工具集。本项目的输出包括8项知识產权（IP），每一项IP都将被集成到参考软体中，同时还将提供仿真结果及硬体实现复杂度分析。一旦我们的IP被标準化组织接受，相应的专利进入标準专利池，我们会通过标準化组织向开发相应标準產品的公司收取一定的专利费。由於多媒体标準產品应用的广泛性，这样的专利费将给ASTRI带来长期的收益。
