    移動WiMAX技術提供基於IP的寬帶無線接入應用服務, 具備服務質量(QoS)、高安全性、用戶容量可擴展性等特徵,更重要的是可實現移動狀態下的無縫切換。 ASTRI 的團隊根據目前的市場發展和客戶接觸,看到WiMAX在香港/中國市場的發展趨勢在: 一)發展中國家的部署,例如,東南亞和非洲國家,二)應用在專網/專案,如支持移動視頻監控的緊急通信。 對於發展中國家的部署WiMAX,成本會是重要的考慮因素,冗餘(如hotswap/hotstandby)要求相對寬鬆。另一方面,由於WiMAX技術能夠傳輸高速,上行和下行,實時,高帶寬的數據,WiMAX技術在應急通信具有很好的潛質,,如提供移動視頻監控。在這兩種情況下,作為一個提供服務的網絡,網絡管理系統更須到位以 管理WiMAX網絡設備(ASN-GW及基站),包括配置,故障和性能管理。 ASTRI 的團隊對推動WNEP, CWMS, ASN-GW市場是非常進取及積極, 與這些客戶及合作伙伴共商怎樣更完善及有效地佔領市場。完整的網絡與業務管理系統(管理整合的ASN-GW和BTS)和可選的低成本ASNGW硬件平臺可以進一步推動移動WiMAX的發展和部署,幫助他們更好地佔領市場。 ASTRI 的團隊已經完成了網管系統CWMS項目的開發,並正在進行ASN-GW項目的開發工作。目前已經發展了多個客戶及合作夥伴,簽署了CWMS和ASN-GW的License合約,如Comba,Altai科技、Pacific Systems、MTI、Neomeridian等,他們已經將CWMS部署到了全球多個國家。通過License的方式,基站設備廠商可以爲其客戶提供更完整的解決方案。 ASTRI 的團隊在WNEP項目將利用在CWMS及ASN-GW技術及市場上的優勢,亦已簽署達10%授權合同和合作。
