In this project, reflective pulse oximeter module which can be integrated into mobile phone and digital plaster will be used as the demonstration vehicles. The deliverables of the project are as follows:
• Prototypes for pulse oximetry measurement for mobile phone integration, including:
1. Sensor module;
2. Signal processing module;
3. System/algorithm implementation
• Prototypes for digital plaster, including
1. Pulse oximetry module;
2. Wireless communication module;
3. Flexible packaging
• Preliminary clinical trial results for pulse oximetry module
• Licensable HE-based packaging technologies & multi-discipline integration, protocol design and implementation
• Technical report of HE market intelligence survey including market status, application targets & IP mapping
• HE-related IPs including at least 4 patents

隨著世界人口老齡化的加劇，越來越多的人受到慢性病的困擾，他們都需要大量的長期的家庭醫療服務，而與之相對的卻是醫療服務和醫護人員的嚴重短缺。因此，未來的醫療服務將慢慢從醫院延伸到家庭中，而且現代人越來越在意自己的健康狀況，這些都為醫療保健產品創造出巨大的市場需求。據預測，中國地區可擕式醫療保健電子產品的市場總額將超過126億人民幣，其中的65%，約83億的產品為家庭應用。為了讓人們可以隨時隨地瞭解自己的健康狀況，我們需要將模組化的醫療保健電子產品整合應用到消費類電子中，方便人們完成測量。在模組化醫療保健電子產品的研發中，感測器與封裝技術是必不可少的，其中封裝設計將需要光、電、熱機械等多領域技術協同完成。本專案將把反射式脈衝血氧計整合應用到手機和數位貼膏中。所使用的光、電、熱機械設計技術將進一步應用到未來醫療電子產品中，如血糖測量，血液中酒精濃度測量等。
