为了实现2020年启动规模商用的目標,5G的研究和发展在全球范围內正积极地进行。相较於4G而言,5G是一个万物互联的网络,它將实现对於包括高速移动数据服务、多样设备的无线连接服务、以及高可靠性服务在內的更多场景的网络支撑和应用。为了实现5G网络的诸多高性能,利用更高的频段、运用更多的无线介入技术、以及部署更密的网络节点,成为了可预见的实现方式。因此,下一代无线通信网络將以多层异构网配以新型接入技术的形式出现。 在此背景下,ASTRI计划研发一套概念验证(proof-of-concept)的5G基站模型和仿真平台,用以推动公司的技术发展。该平台可支持的下一代异构网络中的接入技术具体包括以下几点: (a)毫米波(millimeter wave)接入技术。具体包括蜂窝网初始接入算法,波束捕获和追踪算法。 (b)多种无线接入技术共存及交互配合。包括频谱共享中干扰避免和干扰缓解算法,以及多种接入技术之间的移动性及聚合算法。 (c)多收发点(transmission reception points)的协同传输及协同接收。包括发点的选取算法,多收发点的同步算法,及其联合传输/接收算法。 该项目所研发的接入技术將可应用於提升4G/5G网络的服务质量以及推进5G標准的演进。 对於这一立项,为数不少的公司已经表达了与ASTRI合作並汲取该项目技术產出的强烈兴趣。初期已参与合作的客户公司包括: 移动终端製造商(TCL)、移动通信设备专业厂商(福建三源达)、以及运营商(PCCW)。中兴、大唐、信威等其他公司也以达成此项目的技术转移为目標与ASTRI接洽中。
