ASTRI celebrates two decades of innovation with The IMPACT Conference
ASTRI hosted the online IMPACT Conference on 11 November, a virtual thought leadership event to celebrate our 20th anniversary that connected the various stakeholders essential to developing our city’s innovation ecosystem. We were honoured to invite the Financial Secretary Mr Paul Chan GBM, GBS, MH, JP to give the opening remarks, highlighting the role that innovation and technology plays in the long-term prosperity of Hong Kong. ASTRI Chairman Ir Sunny Lee, JP, provided an overview of ASTRI’s achievements since its establishment in 2000 and its outlook for the future.
Professor Lap-chee Tsui discussed how to advance through collaboration. Professor Li Zexiang provided a visionary outlook of innovation and technology through robotics. Dr Jacob Kam outlined a day in the life of a future MTR customer, and Dr Lam Ching-choi discussed the future of HealthTech in the post-Covid-19 world. Led by Hong Kong’s preeminent business leaders and technology-focused minds, the panel discussions covered a wide range of topics to dive into the opportunities that I&T offers for the future of mankind.
