Under pandemic conditions, efficient and reliable cross-boundary logistics is essential, especially for temperature-critical imports such as frozen food products. Moreover, they typically require a lot of transportation equipment and a lengthy period of inspection.

ASTRI partnered with Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) to develop the blockchain-based IoT Cold Food Import Safety Management Platform (CFISM) cross-border compliance tracking platform for the import of frozen food products. It can monitor the whole process of importing frozen food in real time. This new technology can also be applied to other industries such as vaccinations and medicine logistics and compliance tracking of electromechanical equipment.
