This project of Multi-Standards H.264/AVS/MPEG2 Low Cost High Performance Full HD Video Decoder SoC aims to design a HD video decoder SoC ASIC to take the functions of HD digital Video Signal de-compression in a video related consumer electronics End-Product application design; such as HD/SD TV Set, STB, which usually contains at least 3 parts, (1) the Radio Frequency & Base-Band Processor, or the Turner, for over-the-air signal reception, etc; (2) the HD Digital Video Signal de-compression units, or the HD Video Decoder, for retrieving the HD digital video data packets compressed within the transmitted signals; (3) the Display Device, or the HD TV Screen/ Monitor/Panel, etc. for constructing the human eyes acceptable continuous HD quality video images so as to provide the viewing pleasure of the fun experience.
