1. H.264 HP and AVS X-profile Test Chips a. Real Time Full High Definition resolution 1920X1080p and 30fps. b. Fully tested with standard compliant steams and additional “stress test” 2. MMP emulation test platform a. Daughter Card for H.264 and AVS decoder test chips b. Audio Decoder running on ARM processor on the test board. 3. One patent related to architecture and implementation.

The MMP-EMU project develops the latest international digital video codec standards, known as H.264, MPEG-4 Part 10, or Advanced Video Coding (AVC), which is jointly defined by the ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG). The MMP-AVS project develops the newly approved digital video codec, China’s Audio Video Coding Standard (AVS). This project is the continuation of the MMP-EMU and MMP-AVS projects which develop video decoder IPs in hardware FPGA/RTL format from PC software or programmable processor based solutions to hardware FPGA /RTL format to verify the functionality. This project is to refine the design to provide the test chips for H.264 and AVS decoder IPs, in order to have silicon proven video decoders. This design will include other peripherals such as Display controller, DDR controller and TS Demux to form a complete solution. This project is recommended by the TR panels of MMP-EMU and MMP-AVS as the approval condition for MMP-AVS. This project, as an extension of MMP-EMU/AVS projects, provides a platform for realizing the developed FPGA IPs into test chip for silicon solution. All the decoding algorithms are developed in these two previous projects.
