LTE Wireless Broadband Technologies can enable many applications in transportation and public safety. This is a cross domain collaboration project between CT and ICD. We will leverage existing ASTRI technologies from multiple domains and develop new technologies to address local application needs The Objectives of this full project include: 1. Develop LTE-based Indoor Location Tracking Algorithms 2. Develop Video Analytic Algorithms - Unsupervised Learning and Behavior analysis - Vehicle Identity Verification (to detect fake license plate) - Real-Time Video Quality Enhancement (de-haze, de-blur, de-noise) 3. Utilize ASTRI’s LTE Smallcell technologies for private LTE network trial for Police/MTR. The project will also help upgrade/advance the technical capability and competiveness of the communications and video surveillance industry in Hong Kong and the region.
