This project aims to develop optical anti-shaking technology for camera phone application by using novel voice coil motor (VCM) technology to overcome the problem of the size limitation of the existing traditional optical anti-shaking technologies and enhance the competitiveness of next generation high-end camera phone. The main targets of this project include 1) Develop novel VCM actuator for optical anti-shaking function 2) Develop novel compact camera modules having optical anti-shaking function and auto-focus function for camera phone We will integrate ASTRI’s IP technologies (including the novel actuator technology, novel camera module packaging technology, optical engineering and real time signal processing technologies) and turn it into a mass manufacturable turn-key solution. This project allows us to carry out high quality R&D and realize an advanced technology for Hong Kong camera industry. We will promote this technology and license it to local industry including PRD area.
