Abstract

The differences between US and China patent practice, and some tips for applying US and China patent: The US and China patents are two of the most important patent systems throughout the world. When file patents, we often file the US and China patent simultaneously. However, due to the differences between the two patent systems, it’s usually hard to comply with both the US and China patent rules using a single patent specification. Thus, it’s necessary to know the differences and traps caused by such differences when we want to seek patent protection in both the US and China. In this presentation, we will share some tips on these differences and discuss some “how-to” tricks dealing with the traps.
