Intellectual Property Protection is the cornerstone of technology innovation. As a high-tech company, you should always keep update of your IP knowledge.
Co-organised by Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP), this seminar will give audience an overview of various forms of IPs.
The speaker will present briefly on intellectual property in general, which will include copyright, trademarks, designs and so on. This will set the background for the audience to grasp the limitations and position of patent rights in particular. The talk will focus on how to appreciate a patent specification, in particular the patent claims. Also, the talk will discuss a little on what could be a good invention, and how to be a good inventor. It will also briefly discuss on commercial exploitation of patents, and will probably end with a short brief of up-to-date issues of patent laws.
