Senior Engineer (PI) / Engineer (PI), Optical

Job Description


Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop compact optical modules for food and plastic materials sensing
  • Perform experiments, validation test and data analysis for the optical modules
  • Work with other engineering team members to build prototypes for smart sensing


  • Graduate in STEM-related discipline such as Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant discipline
  • A bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or a doctoral degree’s holder is welcome to apply
  • For bachelor’s degree holder, they will be considered for the position of Engineering Associate (PI)
  • Experienced in Optical system design, setup and experiments
  • Experience in spectroscopic/optics instrumentation is beneficial
  • Familiar with Zemax, Lighttools or other optical simulation software
  • Familiar with MatLab, C/C++, LabView and/or other programming languages
  • Good written and communication skills; strong team spirit and interpersonal skills; independent and responsible
