Q. Tell us about what you do at ASTRI.
Our team provides advanced power electronics technologies and product design, semiconductor devices and PMIC design, and packaging and integration design. Basically, my work focus on study and research on the latest technology and market information, design and test on the power electronics circuits and products, and collaboration with our team members, etc.
In the past four years at ASTRI, I served as the project coordinator in an ITF seed project, and one of the key members in three ITF full projects and two CS projects. I also the author and co-author of five inventions.
Q. What are your motivations for getting into this field of research?
I have obtained all my bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and PhD in engineering. It comes totally natural to me to get into this field of research after graduation.

Q. What does being a woman in tech today mean to you?
In my past study and work experience, I found there were less women than men in the technology industry. However, it does not mean females in this field perform worse than men. Instead, I would say both men and women could perform excellent, and they just had different styles of being and working. Women have their own characteristics and specialties, and this is very valuable and indispensable in the technology industry nowadays.
At the same time, because I have been in the field of science and technology for a long time, I think women working in this field tend to be very rational in mind, and I have gained a lot myself from the rigor, logic and innovation of science and technology.
Q. What do you have to say to young girls who want to pursue a career in I&T?
It is very important to find out what you are good at and what you love, then insisting on it. It will benefit in your career and your life.

Q. How to stay relevant in the tech industry?
Raise the habits to read news, papers, or patents that you are interested; keep on learning new things and be hands-on and problem-solving.
