This project will design a palpategram system - a medical screening system using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to examine the stiffness or elasticity of human; and will perform clinical test on human. The palpategram system will include an in-house design controller, auto post-processing software, display and monitor, embedded with unparallel features such as easy-to-setup, easy-to-use, good reliability, durability and sensitivity as well as artifact free in human. The main applications of palpategram are for the early detection of cirrhosis of the liver, breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease at early stage, which typically required the measurement of stiffness or elasticity characteristics of tissues.
