Wide-Format Ink-Jet Printing Head

A specific, unique MEMS device was designed for wide-format printing applications. With ink-jet head, package and system integration developed, the design platform is ready for mass production. The technology is established as basis for LED phosphor printing, printed electronics and flexible electronics applications.

LED Phosphor Layer Jet Printing

The phosphor jet-printing process is being developed for LED phosphor layer formation in place of the conventional phosphordispensing process. With the jet-printing technology, thickness variation of the phosphor layer will be lowered for better colour control and less binning, thus achieving better quality LED products and higher production throughput. In addition, packaging cost will be reduced owing to improved yield rate. The technology will be applied to develop superior LED package for indoor warm white illumination applications. This will result in shaped phosphor layer on diode for improved angular colour uniformity and CCT control down to the level of human
imperceptibility.
