LED Lighting Control
Lighting Control – Wireless Intelligent Sensing Lighting Control System
This project was initiated to develop an innovative wireless lighting control system integrated with motion sensor which can detect human presence and save energy in the absence of human activities. Compared to conventional sensing technology, MPT’s technology will improve system performance and reliability by reducing false alarms.
Technologies for Transfer
- SiP prototype for sensing and wireless lighting control
- A low-cost design for lighting control system to perform district control through a lighting and sensor network
Lighting Control – Wireless CMOS Ambient Mapping Technology
This project focuses on developing an automatic lighting control system using CMOS sensors to capture the image of the control area. The system will analyse the captured image with the light intensity analysis algorithm developed by the team and in turn perform the corresponding regional lighting adjustment.
Technologies for Transfer
- Light intensity analysis technology
- Technology to reduce transmission loading for data transfer between CMOS sensor to lighting control system
Lighting Control – Advanced Lighting Communication System
MPT has developed a visible light communication technology using LED as the light source for transmitting and broadcasting information within the specifi ed area and line-of-sight. As a result, the technology serves as a complementary solution to existing RF communication systems, particularly in RF interference-sensitive areas.
Technologies for Transfer
- LED illumination system-based wireless communication design platform, including secondary optics design, thermo-mechanical and electrical circuit design
- Prototype of LED luminaries-based visible lighting communication broadcasting system
