ASTRI has continued to receive and welcome visitors from all over the world to strengthen the network with governments, industries and academia.
 
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
A delegation from IEEE visited ASTRI on 3 June. The visit was arranged as part of the programme for participants of IEEE Technology Time Machine (TTM) Symposium. Mr David Kwong (third from left, front row), Vice President and R&D Director, ICD Group, received the guests and introduced them the latest development of ASTRI.
 
Ministry of Commerce
CEO Dr Cheung Nim-kwan (left) received the guests from Ministry of Commerce, Committee of China International Fair for Investment & Trade and Liaison Office, on 13 June.
 
Huazhong University of Science and Technology
An eight-member delegation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology visited ASTRI on 14 June. Dr Wang Keh-chung (fourth from right), VPGD, ICD Group, received the delegation and introduced ASTRI’s latest R&D achievements.
 
Rice University
CEO Dr Cheung Nim-kwan (left, bottom picture) received a delegation of EMBA students from Rice University, USA on 16 June. The delegation showed great interest in the latest development of ASTRI.
 
Shenzhen ICC
A delegation from Shenzhen ICC led by Mr Zhou Sheng-ming (third from right), Officer of ICC, visited ASTRI on 16 June. Dr Yan Bei-ping (first from right), Director of ICD Group, received the guests.
 
Lenovo
Dr William Xie (centre), Senior Researcher, Mobile Internet Lab of Lenovo Corporate Research, visited ASTRI on 24 June to gain a better understanding of ASTRI's latest development and explore collaboration opportunities.
 
The University of Hong Kong
CTO Prof. Peter Yum received a delegation from the University of Hong Kong, whom were led by Prof. Chew Weng-cho, Dean of Engineering & Chair of Electromagnetics, to visit ASTRI on 27 June. The guests showed great interest in ASTRI’s technologies during a lab tour.
 
BASF
Dr Francis Lee (standing), Vice President and R&D Director, SI Group, received an eleven-member delegation from BASF, who came to explore collaboration opportunities with ASTRI on 29 June.
 
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
A student delegation from Engineering Summer Camp 2011, organized by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University visited ASTRI on 6 July to gain an understanding of the latest R&D development in Hong Kong.
 
Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices
Ms Joyce Tam (right), Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Shanghai, visited ASTRI on 8 July to gain a better understanding of the latest development of ASTRI.
 
Study tour from overseas universities
Dr Liu Xin-yi, Senior Manager of CT Group, received a joint study tour delegation comprising students from Baylor University, USA; University of Macau; University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, China; and Petra Christian University, Indonesia on 11 July. The students were interested in the live demos shown during lab tour.
 
Shenzhen University
A thirty-member delegation from MBA Programme, Shenzhen University visited ASTRI on 12 July. Mr Li Yiu-kei, Director of ICD Group, received the delegation. The students toured the laboratories during their visit.
 
The University of Hong Kong
Dr Wang Keh-chung (fourth from right, front row), VPGD, ICD Group, received a delegation from The University of Hong Kong on 15 July. Led by Prof. Edmund Lam, Associate Professor of Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, the delegation showed great interest in ASTRI’s new technologies.
 
Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition
A group of student winners of 2011 Hong Kong Student Science Project Competition (SSPC), led by Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, visited ASTRI on 18 July. Mr Li Yiu-kei, Director of ICD Group, received the delegation and introduced ASTRI’s R&D development.
