To strengthen the network with governmental organizations, the industry and the academia, ASTRI has continued to receive and welcome visitors from all over the world.

 

Boeing

 

 The world's largest aviation and national defense company, Boeing, led a delegation to visit ASTRI on 2 April. Mr Patrick J. Stokes (seventh from right), Deputy Director of Networked System Technology (NST), Boeing, exchange views on the development of advanced communications technologies with Dr Cheung Nim-kwan (eighth from right), CEO, and Dr I Chih-lin (sixth from left), VPGD of ASTRI.

CzechInvest 



 Ms Alexandra Rudysarova (middle), General Director and Mr Jaromir Cernik (left), Executive Director, Southeast Asia Operations of CzechInvest, presented an indigenous souvenir of Czech Republic to Dr Cheung during their visit to the institute on 20 April.

Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands 



 Mr Eric van Kooij (second from right), Counselor for Science and Technology and Mr Jaap van Etten (second from left), Attaché for Science and Technology of Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, accompanied by Ms Caitlin Lam (first from left), Senior Commercial Officer, Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, visited ASTRI on 15 April. They were welcomed by Dr Cheung (middle) and Dr Tom Chung, VP and R&D Director of ASTRI.

Finland Turku Science Park 



 Mr Olli Mankonen (fourth from left), Director of Business Development, Finland Turku Science Park, led a delegation comprising senior management of IT companies to visit ASTRI on 9 March. Dr Cheung (third from left) represented the institute to receive the guests.

Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation 



 Mr Hans Müller Pedersen (fourth from right), Deputy Director General, Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, led a delegation to visit ASTRI on 30 March. Dr I Chih-lin (fourth from left) represented the institute to receive the guests.

Hong Kong Trade Development Council together with Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau 

 
 
Hong Kong Trade Development Council together with Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau led a delegation of Beijing high-tech enterprises to visit ASTRI on 31 March. They came to explore business opportunities with technology research institutes in Hong Kong. Dr I Chih-lin (seventh from left), represented the institute to receive the guests.

Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency 



 Mr Park Eun Kyun (second from left), Manager, and Mr Kelvin Fong (third from left), Research Analyst of Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, visited ASTRI on 16 April. They exchanged views with Dr Enboa Wu (first from left), VPGD, Material & Packaging Technologies Group, on LED technology development and its market in Hong Kong and the mainland.

Hong Kong Productivity Council 



 Representatives from Hong Kong Productivity Council visited ASTRI on 6 March to discuss collaboration opportunities with ASTRI. The delegation was headed by Mr Wilson Fung (middle), Executive Director of Hong Kong Productivity Council. Other delegates included Mr Edmund Sung (left), Director – Business Consulting, and Mr Stephen Lee, Director – Technology Development.

Nanshan Science Park, Shenzhen Minka City Technological Lighting and Shenzhen Guoyexing Optoelectronics 



 ASTRI's Shenzhen office organizes activities regularly to strengthen network between the enterprises in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Mr Yanwen Lu, Manager, Decision Research Department of Shenzhen Nanshan Science and Technology Institute, led a delegation to visit ASTRI on 3 March. The delegation comprised representatives of enterprises from Nanshan Science Park, including Shenzhen Minka City Technological Lighting and Shenzhen Guoyexing Optoelectronics.
