About 80 students and teachers from 13 local primary schools had fun with ASTRI’s mobile e-learning device when taking part in the Digital Travel Competition, an InnoCarnvial 2011 event held at Hong Kong Science Park on 5 November.
Students in pairs employed ASTRI’s e-reader Personal Assistant for Learning (PAL) to capture QR codes at various learning spots in the Science Park and answer location-related questions. The team that scored most correct answers in the shortest time would win the game. The specially designed competition allowed participating students to experience the pleasure and mobility of learning outside classroom using wireless tablets.
The competition was co-organized by ASTRI and Po Leung Kuk.
