Touchless Optical Switch
Touchless optical switch is one of the applications of optical reflective sensor. The switch is simply triggered by approaching it to a distance closer than 5mm. The optical design with the position-sensitive photodetector and light source provides a precise switching level. Therefore, the optical switch elements can be closely packed without optical crosstalk. Applications of the touchless switch include elevators, teller machines, switches in public areas, hermetically sealed switches, dust-free keyboards and specially designed keyboards.
