  ASTRI ARM9E ITU-T CPT Encoder

Processor
ARM ARM9E family and above with DSP extensions

Background
CPT (Call-Progress Tones) are signaling tones used in the telephone services to indicate the status of the calling process. National governments specified CPT using different values of cadences, frequencies and levels.

Standard Features
Implementation according to ITU-T E180/Q35
Signal design based on ITU-T E180/Q35 Annex A recommendation
CPT signal sampling frequencies: 8KHz
Provides mono output

ASTRI Specific Features
Provides multiple-encoder instance
Provides four CPT tones: Dial tone, Ringing tone, Busy tone and Congestion tone
User-defined signal levels on-the-fly
Provides API for streaming application
OS compatibility: Embedded Linux (Monta Vista, Candenux), Non-OS, ARM RealView
Memory requirements: 11KByte (Program and Data)

Performance
ASTRI ARM9E ITU-T CPT encoder is optimized for the ARM9E architecture. The performance is depended on several factors of the target ARM9E platform:
I-Cache size
D-Cache size
SDRAM speed
Availability of TCM
Please make enquires on the performance for a specific ARM9E platform.
