RFIC

RFIC is one of the R&D initiatives in ASTRI’s Communications Technologies Group. It focuses on fully integrated RF transceiver designs for wireless communications and multimedia applications. These transceiver designs are based on advanced architecture using low cost mainstream deep submicron CMOS technology to facilitate SoC integration.

Our experienced RF and analog engineers are currently developing RFICs for CWPAN/ZigBee and multi-mode mobile TV. ASTRI is the first company in the world developing RF transceiver at 780 MHz band supporting China low rate WPAN (CWPAN) national standard, and the transceiver is reconfigurable to international ZigBee standard at 868/915 MHz band. The mobile TV tuner under development supports China CMMB and DMMB standards, and T-DMB and DVB-H standards. ASTRI is the first company in Greater China area developing multi-mode mobile TV tuner supporting CMMB standard in S-band. Multi-mode reconfigurable direct conversion architecture, dynamic and static DC offset cancellation, wideband and low noise LNA, low phase noise PLL, and low power consumption are the main features in tuner design.
