DVB-H Mobile TV Demodulator

ASTRI’s DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting for Handheld terminals) Mobile TV Demodulator Chipset is designed to fully comply with the European standard for digital mobile TV and multimedia broadcasting services. The standard was released in November 2004 by ETSI and it is the mainstream digital TV Technology worldwide with multi-nation services started and many others in trials.

The chipset takes the I/Q data from ADC and performs the necessary sampling and time/frequency correction, de-interleaving, demodulation and decoding, and provides DVB-H transport stream. The design challenges come from high Doppler, multi-path distortions and SFN (Single-Frequency Network) support. With its innovative IPs and custom processor ASTRI is aiming to develop a high performance DVB-H baseband chipset with low-power consumption and cost-effective solution to serve the local, as well as international, industry.
